Sherlock Holmes (1932)
A film based on a stage play, and with all the static screenplay that this involves. Moriarty has finally been sentenced to the gallows, but he has escaped, and it is imperative that Sherlock Holmes (Clive Brook) should capture him. This involves Holmes himself being disguised as an old woman.
I'm afraid this is British cinema at its worst.
